I cant say that this trip was the best nor the worst that i have ever been. The reason I went down to Wollongong in the first place was to get my friend's wedding gown, who will be getting married on February 11th next year. As her maid of honor, we were also trying to find us brides maid dresses, it took us almost 4 hours to find the perfect purple brides dress that would suit the 3 of us with reasonable price!
The journey was horrible because the whole 2 days I was there, it was RAINING! I was hoping the weather will be sunny since it has been 6-7 years since I last visited that small city, which is located approximately 89 kms from Sydney. However, apart from the weather I got to see my friend wedding gown, it was SO beautiful, simple yet elegant! Although, I couldn't help myself not to say that "I want to get marry NOW! when i saw her trying her wedding gown :)
When we got everything we need, we went straight back to the hotel to have a rest. Around 7pm we went to a club (it's like RLS or Sharks club, in Gold Coast) to have some drinks and dinner. Their choice of dinner were fabulous and I can say that they are not expensive! The cost of a half full plate of T-bone, with salad and chips were only $14, plus $1 for the extra gravy. Where back in the Gold Coast for the same meal would cost me around $40! (crazy huh!!!).
Alicia took me everywhere when we're in Wollongong, she showed where she used to live, her school, her mom's caravan, her mom's in law house (this is where she keep her wedding gown), where she and Dane used to live together, Dane's first port job in Port Kembla. We also had brunch in where she used to eat when she n her sister was a little kid. It is very good experience for me to know where 1 of my best friend used to live and grew up. Maybe someday I can do the same to her, show her where I grew up and all that :)
